Poesi: The Orchestra

The bow goes down the string
of the beautiful violin
And you can hear the music sing
through every living thing

The beat goes through the drum
until the hands are numb
And you can hear the hum
of the future yet to come

The tunes are low on the flute
with the fingers tracing their route
And everything else is on mute
including the man in the suit

The harmonica plays desperately
a heartbreaking melody
For the mans lonely legacy
of impossible remedy

The passion the piano crave
is the passion of the brave
For the dead man none could save
and the secret he’ll take to the grave

The cello performs with a flame
that no one could tame
For the woman who screamed his name
The name who death came to claim

The bow goes down the string
of the beautiful violin
Then the music stopped with a tearful cling
to show a day that tomorrow will never bring
